8th June 2003 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: sw Wind Stength: 10- 40mph ! Surf / Sea State: chop Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: warm Weather: sunny/ showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wow what a day arrived at brog about 11.30 wind was marginal at first but was getting some nice runs in. The wind picked up nicely and was having some fantastic runs with some nice long hand drags maybe we can have hand drags for a force of nature score (anything to get a higher score) was managing some little chop hops to getting the feel of them now. Atonce point I picked up a bit of weed on fin wow did i get some spin out ! everytime I even put a little presure on the fin the board just spun sideways. Had some heavy rain and the wind dropped off stayed out on the water and tried some front to sailing or what ever its called was getting round the other side of the sail and was pushing it against the wind ok but kept luffing the board up into the wind. Then the wind picked up and up and up ! was blowing 30 - 40 mph and I was up the other end of the lake was hardwork coming back with 8.5 sail wind continued to blow for rest of afternoon and my little board was in the garage at home |
